Florida Business Consulting Invited to Prestigious Annual USA Sales Awards Ceremony in Philadelphia

Florida Business Consulting Philadelphia Awards

Florida Business Consulting’s Managing Director Eric Martin will travel to Philadelphia and attend the event with 18 other colleagues of the Miami-based outsourced sales and marketing firm.

Established in 2011, Florida Business Consulting is one of the most successful outsourcing companies in Miami, working with a vast range of well-known brands and fresh start up clients to create standout and effective direct marketing campaigns.

The awards ceremony will kick off at 11 am EST on Saturday, June 28, 2014, and due to the success of last year’s event, it is once again being held at the Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Centre for performing Arts.

Verizon hall was the first major concert hall to open during the 21st Century and is renowned for being one of the world’s best performance venues. The 2500 seat capacity auditorium is a grand and opulent setting and a perfect venue for such a prestigious event for the sales and marketing industry’s top performers.

Managing Director Eric Martin is thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the North East. He plans to spend two days in New York and Washington DC for networking purposes before travelling to Philadelphia for the ceremony.

“It’s going to be great to be back up north. Since we’re based in Miami I don’t always get the opportunity to come back as much as I’d like, but it’s a real pleasure to be invited to the USA Sales awards.”
– Eric Martin, MD of Florida Business Consulting

The USA Sales awards are a fantastic opportunity for those in attendance to be recognized for their hard work and to learn a great deal from lots of others in this vastly competitive and high pressure business field. Over 200 awards will be presented during the event including awards for Top Sales Performance (which FBC is nominated for ), Most Improved Business, Startup Manager of the Year, and the Rising Star Award, among others. As well as presenting the award to the thoroughly deserving recipients, the ceremony will also feature some great inspirational and fascinating International guest speakers.

The Awards ceremony will conclude at 6 pm EST followed by a two hour reception for all the attendees.

Interview with Florida Business Consulting’s Newest Assistant Manager

Congrats FBC

The staff at Florida Business Consulting recently interviewed the newest Assistant Manager, Laskmy Perez, for some insight and advice on her recent success and promotion at FBC.

When did you start working for Florida Business Consulting?
LP: I started in late August of 2013.

What were the obstacles you had to face?
LP: Interviewing was my biggest weakness as a Trainer, because I wasn’t confident about interviewing others at first. It took a lot extra practice and coaching from the top managers at FBC and then applying what I learned. I improved by consistently leading in sales and production and making sure I was first in the list for responsibilities every single day. I knew I wasn’t the best interviewer in the office so I made sure to work harder than everyone else at it.

“What you lack in experience, you make up in work ethic.”

Why did you keep working so hard? What helped you to stay motivated?
LP: I was motivated by many things: my personal goals, the opportunity to advance quickly, and the great training and experience I gained from my mentors is what kept me motivated every single day.

Every single manager in our company that I met was really happy with what they were doing, and they were all successful self-starters, that were ambitious, outgoing, positive about life, and confident – everything I wanted to be professionally and personally.

In addition, I loved that the employee success is performance based so that everyone has the opportunity to work their way to the top.

Could you imagine you will become a manager after only 7 months?
LP: Yes, my goal was to get promoted in 6 months.

How do you feel about it?
LP: I am really excited for new challenges – the challenges that keep me on my toes and bring out my competitive side. I am also extremely grateful for the fact that I’ll get to learn and grow more as a business woman.

What are your future professional goals?
LP: I am very career-driven and I appreciate the fact that this company is heavily based on performance. Therefore, my goal is to always compete to be the best in the market and take the number one spot soon as a rookie manager. Some of my specific goals are:

  • Expand the FBC organization into Orlando, FL in August 2015.
  • Open 3 additional offices in the Florida market – Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
  • Expand to San Francisco, CA by the fourth quarter of 2015.
  • Inspire people by improving my public speaking skills. I want someone to look at me and say, “Because of you, I didn’t give up.”

What advice do you want to give to those who are at the beginning of their career?

“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”
— Jordan Belfort
